What is PAT Testing?

Portable appliance testing(PAT) is a process that is used in the UK to ensure your electrical appliances are routinely checked for safety. Health and safety regulations require that your electrical appliances are safe to use and are maintained to a high standard to ensure no harm to workers, clients or lodgers depending on your business type. It's important if you own a business that your electrical appliances are up to standard and you should use one of the above electrical contractors to perform a PAT testing if you have not had this done already.

Do I need to Rewire my house?

If your house has not been rewired within the last 20-30 years then in most cases the chances are you should definitely think about updrading in order to bring it up to current electrical standards. If you plan major remodelling work that constitutes a material alteration as defined by the Building Regulations, it is likely that you will need to rewire part, if not all, of the property, including upgrading the consumer unit (fuse box). If you are still unsure on if you need to rewire or not then we suggest you contact one of the electricians above to perform a electrical check for you!
